Quiet time?

There is very rarely a moment of quiet around our house these days. I am really hoping Kate can sleep through noise. Leah is ALWAYS talking, dancing and singing or reading. Her mouth does not even close at nap time now as she just lays in her bed talking and singing for an hour or two. I love it and would not have it any other way! She is so fun to listen to and constant entertainment! Here are a few examples. They are all in half portuguese.

27 Months

Projects

Holy projects! Just when I think Dave is going to relax for a bit, the project list starts. Keep in mind he just finished remodeling our Sugarhouse place with an entirely new bathroom and kitchen. That project ended in January. Our weather has been so nice that he just keeps going. This is the beginning of our fourth gardens grow boxes. This area will also have a sandbox/playground, pergola, and water drainage pond. The chickens are loving the fresh dirt!

Sick

It's been a long while since Leah has really been sick. Last week it hit, bronchitis and a horrid tongue sore that prevented her from eating for a few days. Things are back too good now but here are a couple shots of our week. There was very little sleep happening around here.

Just in case.

These are the items needed for Leah to go to bed at night or a nap. Just in case any of you are on emergency duty when Kate decides to arrive.
1. duck
2. other duck( this was purchased as a back up but is now an essential part of her bedtime company)
3. pig
4. lamb
5. blanket
6. cup of water

If ANY of these items are missing, forget about sleep!

Except the cups on her hands, those were just for the moment and not at all neccesary.

Fairgrounds

The Fairgrounds behind our house have proven to be Leah's favorite playground for the last few months. She and Dave walk over there almost daily if the weather is nice. She loves all the stairs, ramps, dirt hills, riding mowers, golf carts, and random other junk to explore. They have their routine there and always walk back on the path by the creek. She has also been very good about peeing in the dirt, leaves, or snow when needed, WHEW!

Valentines Day

For Valentines Day Leah made Dave his favorite dessert, pumpkin pie. And she got to help clean up from the whipping of the cream too! She was so excited for him to get home that day and give him his pies. And even more excited when dad showed up with balloons!
