Bye beach!

Until next year??????

Power

The electricity has been VERY hit and miss here this year. I am sure mostly due to the hurricane and of course that fact that we are on a very small island. Fun things to do with only one battery-power spotlight......

Junkanoo

Leah's 'best friend Serina" she met at junkanoo practice the other night.

Best friends

I am amazed still almost daily how well Leah and Kate play with each other already. Kate has been sick for the last two weeks and Leah has been doing her very best to help her feel better. A whole lot of singing going on! This is a very early morning round of pat-a cake.

Metamorphosis

Leah got a chance to watch tadpoles turn into frogs this trip. The house we are staying at is called Malia's Well. The Island is so small no property addresses are needed, only house names. There is and old shallow well on the property that we found had tadpoles in it a couple weeks ago. Dave and Leah have been checking on the tadpoles a few times a day and adding more water as needed. Yesterday, we are exited to report, the tadpoles are now frogs!!!! Leah is so happy about them. They are VERY tiny. About the size of Leah's fingertip. Fun!

And from mom's camera....

On the VERY loud charter plane to Eluthera. It was a bit sketchy.  Bumpy ride on a plane that you could see visual proof the emergency exits had been well used! Tiny little propeller plane with a single row of seats on each side. Plus it was old enough to still have ash trays! Leah thought it was cool that you could just look right into the cockpit and see the pilots flying the plane. Grandma was VERY glad to land.

Kate's highchair here.

With double ear infection, Leah wanted me to feed her like a baby.

Kate is getting strong!  It would not be a bit surprised if she starts crawling while we are here!

Leah will wear her suit until it gets wet.
