11 Months!
Wow, I can't believe how much Leah has changed in the last two months! We missed the 10 month post due to major upset after traveling to Seattle and Portland. But this month, I think we have turned a corner.
Leah is FINALLY feeling better! YES! Not one scream fest or crank day in over two weeks now! Everyone told me it would happen over night and it really did. She is even down to one dose of reflux medication a day and no drops. Life is so fun when your baby feels good.
The down side of this is she is in to EVERYTHING. Now that she feels well, she in crawling around like a crazy baby, checking out every nook and cranny. He favorite thing is to try and crawl into the bathtub to get her rubber duck. She calls him "DU". And of course dads forbidden box of crap at the end of the couch is so much fun.
My favorite new thing, her snuggling. Perhaps she felt so crappy before she didn't want me close but now, she is a super snuggler. Its so sweet.
11 month favorites
Favorite toy: Toss up between her duck and baby
Favorite book: Hop on Pop. She loves to scream when it comes to the part "STOP you must not hop on pop". And I mean scream!
Favorite food: This changes daily. Yesterday, spinach tofu burrito. Day before yesterday, avocado. Leah can eat a whole avocado in one sitting.
She continues to love ALL the animals and is thrilled to see the goats, chickens, cats, dogs and our neighbors horses EVERY time. She is also very fascinated with trees. I could spend all day letting her touch the leaves and trunks of various trees in the yard. So cute!
I can't wait to see what this month brings.

Yes he did!
Dave went out like this tonight! A last minute costume using a petti skirt I picked up for him to wear to Leah's birthday party next month. I just wish we would have thought of it a few hours earlier. He could have worn it to the neighborhood Halloween party hosted by the local religious establishment. Bummer.

Crawling Indoors!
So today Leah decided it was okay to crawl in the house. She has been exclusively crawling on the grass for the last few weeks but on the day I was about to post that she would never crawl indoors, voila! Still, if she wants to get there fast she resorts to the scoot.
Farewell scoot
It's sad to think this will be coming to an end. Happy to think her clothes will stay a bit cleaner on the front! The scoot has served Leah well for 10 weeks now, makes me a bit teary eyed.
I'm watching you ELMO!
i
My brother and family brought Leah a very nice gift yesterday, a laughing Elmo. I am not sure of the actual name but this toy(if you can call it that) laughs so hard it folds in half forward, then falls on to it's back, then somehow picks itself back up to standing. I was going to post video of it but every time you make it laugh, Leah gets so scared she screams. I have it sitting up on a shelf near where she plays and all day today she kept an eye on Elmo! Evil Elmo. Devil Elmo. She really wants to know him better but is way to scared to give him a chance. I figure in another month, he will certainly be her favorite toy!
Garden Boxes
David's project of the hour, new garden boxes! I am super excited to have these done for next spring! It will be so nice to have the garden well organized and not break my back weeding! Of course the chickens did not get them memo, they are still under the impression that they have a wonderful new bathtub.

Dinner conversation
Leah has decided she won't feed herself avocado anymore, it's just too slimy. And all this talk is part of a lecture she gave Dave for being gone all day.

Premature pumpkin carving
It's been a busy week. I finally feel settled back in at home. We had Lauren and Cameron out for a slumber party Friday night and had a good time carving pumpkins. Our one pumpkin plant produced 12 pumpkins this year!
Leah still continues her ups and downs but has been more up the last few days, hooray!
